Echoing Angels comes back to rock YF2k9
There are Christian bands that we have been blessed to work with in the past that have left an everlasting impression on us. Echoing Angles is one of those bands. Their onstage presence does not parallel to their humbling personalities that appear offstage. We are pleased to bring them back to North Carolina as part of the 2009 lineup. If you haven't seen them live you have missed a blessing. If you've never met them personally, you'll want to do so this year. |

Carl Cartee Band returns to Youth Fest
Carl Cartee is no stranger to Youth Fest. We first met Carl in 2004 when we hosted our second annual festival. On that windy Septermber day, Carl poured out his heart atop a flat-bed truck trailer.Carl returned toYouth Fest in 2006 and led us in a time of worship and reflection. God continues to use Carl to spread the gospel in a wonderful and soothing way. It is a blessing for us to have him back in 2009. |
Afshin Ziafat to speak at Youth Fest 2009
Afshin Ziafat encourages students to find joy in Christ even in the midst of persecution and to see the Word of God as the authority and guide for life. Born in Houston, Texas, Afshin and his family moved back to their native country of Iran when he was two years old. By the time he was six, the Islamic Revolution was in full swing and Afshin and his family returned to Houston. As a senior in high school, Afshin read a Bible given to him by an English tutor and came to faith in Christ as his only Lord and Savior.
Though his new faith brought him joy, his family disowned him. Despite his struggles, Afshin sees God's work in his life and says, "My life is not about man's faithfulness to God, instead, it's about God's faithfulness to man." . |
